I thank You God for most this amazing
day:for the leaping greenly spirits of trees
and a blue true dream of sky;and for everything
which is natural which is infinite which is yes
(i who have died am alive again today,
and this is the sun’s birthday;this is the birth
day of life and of love and wings:and of the gay
great happening illimitably earth)
how should tasting touching hearing seeing
breathing any—lifted from the no
of all nothing—human merely being
doubt unimaginable You?
(now the ears of my ears awake and
now the eyes of my eyes are opened)
Now an Internationally renowned Somatic Arts Educator, Ellen began her studies and practices in the 1980’s at The Esalen Institute, Big Sur, CA. Ellen rebirthed and directed Esalen’s Movement Arts program, studied, practiced and joined the faculty of Esalen®Massage & Bodywork.
After certifying as a 5Rhythms® teacher with Gabrielle Roth, Ellen developed SpiritDance, then Vibrance, for combining Conscious Dance and Singing Your Own Song. Vibrance Practices now include: Touch, Breathwork, Dance, Sound & Song, Vibrance Coaching, Vibrance Healing Ceremonies. Ellen continues to train healing artists in Touching Essence™ and Esalen®Massage & Bodywork.
Ellen’s work has taken her around the world, with a focus during the last decade, in Indo/Asia/Pacific. During the Pandemic, Ellen worked closely with colleagues, Daphne Tse and Ashley Johnson on defining the Vibrance body of work, and continued offering programming in Italy, one of her favorite countries.
Tamara joined Ellen’s Dance program at Esalen in 1997, and has been dancing ever since. Tamara began her training as a Vibrance Class Facilitator, in Bali, during 2013.
A mother of two teenaged girls, Tamara shares her gifts with them and their friends, with her three Shepherds Grim, Zara, and Griffin and, cat, Moonpie. A lover of Nature, the land and the sea, Tamara built the Eagle’s Nest as a home for her family and a studio for sharing the healing and somatic arts with her community.
While at Esalen, Tamara studied Spiritual Healing and has more recently studied and certified in Equine Massage. Whether touching horses, humans, felines or canines, Tamara has a gift as a ‘Whisperer’. Whisperers have developed the ability to deeply listen through the unspoken language of touch.
After falling from her horse, and breaking her arm, Tamara picked up a paint brush; brush to canvas…and has emerged 12 years later, as an accomplished, self-taught artist. Her work captures the soul of her subjects.
