Ellen fell in love with ecstatic dance at Esalen®, and has ushered thousands of people though the doorway from inertia to ecstasy on the dance floor, in the gym, on the beach, or in the living room. Ecstatic Dance is the oldest spiritual practice on earth: In this retreat we combine, dancing and singing.
Ellen & Daphne invite you to join us in Magical Bali for a week of opening your heart, freeing your voice, and becoming more embodied. Ellen’s guidance through Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythm™ Practice entices the dancer in all of us to come out, to move in new ways, to let go of energetic and physical patterns, to embody and express the fullness of who you are. Chakras open, our Chi and Prana become activated. Breath moves in and out freely. This is the time to Sing, to free your voice, to find your authentic voice. We will learn how to access our chakras through sound and chanting.
Daphne will guide us in our practice of kirtan, a participatory music experience that uses ancient Sanskrit mantras. Kirtan calls upon sacred energies, which serve to quiet the mind, remove obstacles, and bring us back to the centers of our being. In addition to Kirtan, we will include sacred songs and chants form a variety of cultural traditions the world over. Through chanting and singing, we activate and engage all parts of our selves, bringing us to a greater sense of integration, of being complete as we are. We become connected to our Spirit and through our Spirit.

You will need your passport, valid at least 6 months from date of entry, and a visa if you plan to stay in Bali for longer than 30 days. For a 30-day stay or less, you can get the standard "visa on arrival" when you land in Bali.
